Who wouldn’t want to? I normally do these things every week on Sunday or in this case, Monday (I love a long weekend) and I find them really relaxing, maybe because they make me feel prepared for the week and that soothes me. Curling up with a good book just after a bath and treating yourself is the perfect way to pave the way for a great work week.
Starting off with a warm bath is good for your skin and really relaxes your muscles, I’ve been traveling almost every weekend and winding down in a bath really cures those stiff limbs. I love Lush’s bath bombs, they make your bath smell amazing and gives you silky skin. My favorite is the Butterball because of it’s vanilla scent. Find what scent really relaxes you and fill your bath with products scented that way, it will make all the difference.
After the bath, I moisturize with Keihl’s Creme de Corps Whipped Body Butter leaving my skin hydrated and beautiful. I then curl up with my book and a nice cup of tea. The one I’ve been loving lately is the Get Lost Tea by Republic of Teas its got a lovely cinnamon flavor that isn’t overpowering and I can’t get enough of it.
Next, I do these three things weekly to feel fresh. I apply the Flower and Tonic Mask by Mario Badescu, it’s a very gentle mask that cleans out your pores and soothes your skin. After a weekend filled with lots of travel and maybe sleeping with your makeup on, this is the perfect way to cleanse my skin. Then I paint my nails for the week and whiten my teeth. I recently purchased the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel set and have loved the color Creme de la Creme, it’s a very pale pink that’s almost white and has a nice shimmer to it. My go-to teeth whitener is Dr. George’s Dental White Gel, honestly it works miracles, after using it for just 15 minutes my teeth are noticeably whiter.
Sometimes I do a Coconut oil hair mask – just apply heated coconut oil to your hair and leave on for at least a half hour. It’ll give your hair more shine and repair damages. And it smells great!
